The birthplace of global cuisine and food experts
Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) ranked the job of commercial cook and chef on 12th among the 20 most promising jobs. The wage level and stability of job, work environment, and the degree of professionalism contributed to this selection. Since the food service industry requires a specialist who has a high level of expertise, the Hotel Cuisine Program at Kyungdong University sees to it that the students meet those requirements. The curriculum of this program is organized to reflect the demands from the industry. In this program the students will learn the various kinds of cuisine such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, Italian, and bakery. The students also participate in the internship program in the partner companies like Our home, C.J., Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Grand Hilton Hotel, and Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel.
