학과 소개내용
Civil engineering has been a stalwart of civilization throughout the history of mankind, and it is the provenance of modern engineering. Today’s civil engineering encompasses the study, planning, design, installation, and management of modern infrastructures, such as bridges, roads, ports, dams, underground structures, nuclear power plants, airports, subways, railways, and tunnels, and it is closely related to the way we live. Civil engineers are also engaged in various capacities in city and transport planning, land reclamation, and disaster impact assessment. Graduates from Department of Civil Engineering at Kyungdong University can be found all over Korea and in overseas locations, where they are engaged in activities such as land development and preservation, land and water resource use optimization, the formation of city and residential environments, and the installation and expansion of transport, cultural, tourism, and leisure facilities.
