Department of Military Science at Kyungdong University is a new department, with its programs set to commence in 2022. It will offer programs designed to produce the elite military officers and personnel much needed in today’s world, under the influence of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The professors in Department of Military Science include four national security and military affairs experts with military backgrounds as a three-star officer, as well as former military academy professors. The framework of the curriculums to be offered is based on Kyungdong University’s “Military Science Development Plan,” which is structured to tie in with the operation of its Reserve Officers Training Corps. Department of Military Science will equip students with the skills and mindset needed to obtain a commission. The demand for military personnel in all capacities is rising in Korea, because of the country’s declining population coupled with the resultant shortening of the service period. Therefore, we are offering multi-major programs that will provide the widest range of options in your military career.
